ACEC Tarrant County is a proud sponsor of the North Texas Regional Future City Competition.
The Future City Competition is a middle-school educational outreach program designed to foster an interest in technology and engineering. North Texas is one of about 40 regions around the country holding a competition and sending their winners on to the national finals in Washington, DC.
The Competition - sponsored by National Engineers Week - is designed to inspire 6-7-8th grade students about engineering by challenging them to solve the real-world problems associated with building a livable city of the future. Hundreds of North Texas students, from more than 30 schools, will work on their city concepts each year.
